Abstract

PT Sumber Segar Primadaya PLTU Cilacap is engaged in the production of electricity. To produce electricity, various fuels are needed, the fuel used in the electricity production process is coal. In addition to coal as the main fuel, several auxiliary fuels are needed, such as diesel fuel, and slag removal to help facilitate combustion in the boiler combustion chamber. Coal fuel is a material that quantitatively has the largest and most dominant electricity production cycle. Companies must regulate fuel mutations that are adjusted to the number of types of fuel and the amount of fuel that must be available, as well as the use of costs to store and maintain fuel. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of economical fuel purchases in accordance with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and to determine the total cost of fuel inventory carried out by. PT. Sumber Segara Primadaya PLTU Cilacap. To find out the economical purchase of fuel, the researchers used quantitative methods using descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it is obtained that the calculated t value is 2.36 tons while the t table of ± 2.31 tons is located in the receiving area Ha or Ho is rejected, which means that there is a significant difference between the average cost of fuel procurement in fact and the average economical fuel procurement costs, so the second hypothesis, is rejected. PT. Sumber Segara Primadaya (S2P) PLTU Cilacap needs to review policies in the procurement of fuel used in order to achieve an economical fuel order level. To achieve this, the company should determine the amount of fuel purchased according to the EOQ analysis in order to minimize the cost of fuel procurement. The steps taken in carrying out the procurement of fuel are in the form of increasing the number of purchases each time an order is made. In addition, the company should reduce the frequency of orders to an average of 161 times with an average amount of 40.21 tons of fuel in one order period with a purchase cycle distance of 2 days, so that the fuel procurement costs achieved are economical. This needs to be done because there is still a very large waste of costs, namely on average, Rp. 65,204,143.42 per year.
